At Essere Organics, our commitment to organic products is the result of a personal journey. Our family has experienced the pain of Fibromyalgia and we recognized for ourselves the need to try to find personal care products that wouldn't irritate or aggravate the condition.

That search led us to discover a wide range of organic products. We began to learn that natural products could enhance our daily lives in ways that were measurable and sustainable. We learned a lot about how other people were discovering the health benefits and overall sense of well-being that came from using natural productsóand that didn't harm the environment.

Here are some of the things we discovered:

• Cotton accounts for 25% of pesticide use in the world
• it takes approximately 1 pound of chemicals (fertilizers and pesticides) to grow enough cotton for one t-shirt
• skin is our largest human organóand it is constant contact with these cotton garments
• our babies' skin is extremely sensitive to this contact

We also learned about the social implications: organic products were a way to support trade and sustain economies in some of the poorer regions of the world. By using healthy products, we were in turn saving the environment for our own and the world's children.
